Physical structure and equipment in the outpatient clinic

There are 6 patient examination rooms, two intervention and dressing rooms, one urodynamics-uroflowmetry and biopsy room and one ultrasound device in the urology outpatient clinic. Besides, there is a meeting room for in-clinic assessments and programming of the studies, as well as a library room with scientific journals and books.

Our clinical practice

Our team is structured to cover every field of urology: Uro-oncology and prostate diseases, andrology, urinary stone diseases, pediatric urology, functional urology, female urology, neurourology and reconstructive procedures.

In addition, our renal transplantation team provides outpatient services within the organ transplantation department.

Especially in uro-oncologic operations, robotic and laparoscopic surgery are used effectively. Prostate cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer, kidney and adrenal gland cancer treatments are performed safely and successfully with robotic, laparoscopic or open surgery. The uro-oncology council meeting is regularly held every week and the council evaluates the patients with the participation of our colleagues from departments of pathology, radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology and medical oncology, and makes joint decisions after reciprocal sharing of opinions.

Endoscopic methods are used in the treatment of benign prostate enlargement patients in our clinic. For this purpose, besides conventional TUR (trans-urethral resection) operations (mono and bipolar TUR) and laser applications, laparoscopic and robotic operations are performed in the treatment of larger prostates.

In our clinic, which has all the equipment the current state of urology requires in the treatment of kidney, ureter and bladder stones, both pediatric and adult patients can be treated. For this purpose, cystoscopy and semirigid ureteroscopy (size appropriate for the patient’s age), flexible cystoscopy, flexible ureterorenoscopy and percutaneous (standard and mini PNL) renal stone surgery tools are widely used. In addition, laparoscopic surgery is performed successfully with appropriate indications. In addition to all these treatment alternatives, the extracorporeal sound wave lithotomy (ESWL) process, which is used in the treatment of urinary system stone disease, is applied under the supervision of our doctors with a modern device.

Regarding andrology, all diagnostic and treatment methods (MicroTESE) related to infertility are applied effectively, especially sexual dysfunctions, penile prosthesis surgeries and varicocele surgeries (microscopic).

Including treatment of genital pathologies such as hypospadias, undescended testes, inguinal hernia and hydrocele related to pediatric urology, congenital disorders such as ureteropelvic junction stenosis, ureterocele, posterior urethral valve and vesicoureteral reflux, stone disease in childhood, urological disorders and childhood urologic tumors, all pediatric urology-related diagnosis and treatment methods are performed by our experienced doctors.

In the scope of functional urology, female urology and reconstructive urology, diagnostic and treatment applications required by modern medicine are performed by our physicians with international experience. Including urinary incontinence, voiding disorders, chronic pelvic pain, urethral stricture and bladder-uterine sagging, for all kinds of pelvic floor and lower urinary tract health problems, current diagnosis and treatment approaches are routinely provided by our department.

Renal transplantation is performed and followed up before and after surgery with our nephrology and immunology team helping our urology team who have international experience and are specialized in this subject.

Again, in August 2018, our clinic received the first resident/assistant in urology. In addition, all preparations for the fellowship program on uro-oncology have been completed.
